PowerArchiver je profesionální program pro kompletní práci s komprimovanými archivy (vytváření, přidávání, rozbalování, mazání, prohlížení). Podporuje všechny běžné archivy ZIP, CAB, LHA, LZH, TAR, TAR , GZ, RAR, ARJ, ACE, ARC, ZOO, GZIP, BZIP2, Quake III Pk3 a JAR, dále má vestavěnou podporu pro XXEand UUE Internet encoded files.
PowerArchiver obsahuje také nástroje pro vypalování CD/DVD, zálohování dat a součástí programu je také FTP klient pro pohodlné kopírování archivů na vybraná FTP server.
